Municipal Animal Control Officer

The police department oversees the activities of an appointed Municipal Animal Control Officer who is certified by the state, and is responsible for the state mandated reporting concerning animals.

The Municipal Animal Control Officer responds to citizen complaints involving domestic animals as well as various forms of wildlife, operates an annual rabies clinic, and makes every effort to arrange for the adoption of abandoned or unclaimed canines.

The hours of the Municipal Animal Control Officer are as follows:

Monday through Friday - 8am to 4pm
