Traffic Division

The mission of the Darien Police Department's Traffic Division is to reduce and prevent traffic related accidents and injuries, ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic and to achieve voluntary compliance with motor vehicles laws through partnership with the community in education, enforcement and engineering.

The Traffic Division is comprised of two sworn officers, with one officer assigned to the Division full-time, while a second officer is assigned on a part-time basis (when staffing permits). Officers assigned to the Traffic Division are equipped with marked Harley Davidson police motorcycles and an unmarked patrol vehicle.
